Andrea Lagarini leads Contacto Chile Comunicaciones, an agency for technology-assisted human translation and simultaneous conference interpreting. She has devoted 25 years to translation and interpreting, with teams working in Chile and around the world.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Georgetown University, Washington D.C. Her intercultural background, command of four languages and global outlook underpin the company’s standing among the leading firms in the Chilean market.

She has worked with four member-country embassies and with the interpreting team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DIRECON) on the economic agenda. Earlier, in Mexico, she was Content Manager of IAB México’s monthly bulletin and translated for companies and publications such as Esquire.

She keeps up to date with artificial intelligence and specialised software, and takes an active part in professional networks and community organisations. She served as Deputy Director of REDMAD (Red Mujeres Alta Dirección) and advocates for the environment, women in leadership and support for rural women.
